Ciao!

In 1958, with the dedication and dream of a handful of local Italians came this existing building we now call The Verdi Club. With much difficulty, these dedicated men and women made the decision to create something that was non existent; not just for themselves, but for their families and for the love that they had for their identity, language and culture. It's because of our Members sacrifices, care and dedication that I, along with many others, are here today celebrating ongoing Italian traditions with many more generations to follow. Let us pay tribute to these founding and first members of the Club who dreamed of this idea of establishing a place where people from the same common background could come together and nurture their sense of belonging and pride in Italian culture and spirit.

This Club has become more than just bricks and mortar, more than just a place where we have celebrated our children's weddings and other special occasions, or a place where we come to play bocce among friends. The Verdi Club is a living place that serves its Italian-Canadian members and the community of Amherstburg as a whole. It is a place that is still growing and still shaping its history.

Today, 50 years later, the Verdi Club has put themselves on the map for their delicious Cuisine, especially marking our famous Pasta. The Verdi Club has an incredible amount of versatility. Allow us to host your Weddings, Anniversaries, Baby Showers and all other forms of Celebration in our newly renovated Banquet Hall or in our VC Bar. Chef Sam Naccarato, formerly of Casa Bianca, can prepare a meal that will keep you coming back for more.

With the recent opening of Remo's Famous Wood Burning Pizza Oven in our VC Bar, this relaxed environment allows guests to dine comfortably anytime or take the opportunity for a quick take-out. Our long list of Cuisine allows you to make choices that suit your taste buds. Drop on in and see Orlando and ask him to make you a No.5 with a Nutella Pizza to go!
